Roman Abramovich could invest $ 300 million in Telegram ICO

While Pavel Durov reports to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the amount of funds raised during the pre-ICO Telegram, «Vedomosti» found out who could take part in the crowdfunding campaign, access to which was provided to a limited number of people.

Earlier it became known that $ 17 million in Telegram was invested by the co-founder of the Qiwi payment service Sergey Solonin. Co-founder «Wimm-bill-danna» David Yakobashvili reported «Vedomosti», who also took part in the campaign, investing $ 10 million.

But the most curious investor is probably Roman Abramovich. Although the billionaire himself did not communicate with the publication, two people familiar with the situation confirmed the fact of his participation in this ICO. According to one of them, «an entrepreneur could invest $ 300 million in a messenger».

It is known that Abramovich became one of the first investors of Russian origin who received the right to take part in the campaign.

In a document published on the SEC's website, it is indicated that the amount of $ 850 million was raised with the participation of 81 investors. Their names are not specified, and Durov, as before, refuses to comment..
